Takanori Kyogoku - Takamasa Kyogoku
1836-1906 A daimyo from the end of the Edo period.
Born October 19, 1830. The second son of Kyogoku Takatakara. He was adopted by his uncle Kyogoku Takataka, and in 1858 became the 6th generation lord of the Tadotsu Domain in Sanuki (Kagawa Prefecture). In 1820 he was ordered by the Imperial Court to guard the Hino-mikoto Gate. In 1868 he participated in the army that conquered the Takamatsu Domain. In 1884 he was made a viscount, and in 1890 he became a member of the House of Peers. He died January 14, 1906, at the age of 71. His childhood name was Otonosuke.

天保(てんぽう)7年10月19日生まれ。京極高宝の次男。伯父京極高琢(たかてる)の養嗣子となり,安政6年讃岐(さぬき)(香川県)多度津(たどつ)藩主京極家6代。元治(げんじ)元年朝廷から日之御門警衛を命じられる。慶応4年高松藩征討の軍に参加。明治17年子爵。23年貴族院議員。明治39年1月14日死去。71歳。幼名は於菟之助。
