A shamisen player of Gidayubushi. (1) Ise (mid-18th century - around 1809 (Bunka 6)) A disciple of Ise Tsuruzawa Tojiro. In 1760 (Horeki 10), he changed his name from Tsuruzawa Kamejiro to Kanji, and later to Kan'o. Commonly known as Tsuchihashi. From 1766 (Meiwa 3), he worked at the Takemotoza for a time, but was mainly active in the Toyotake group, playing Toyotake Shimadayu II and others. (2) 4th - Date of birth and death unknown. A disciple of the 3rd. He took the name 4th in 1826 (Bunsei 9) from Tomizo and the 2nd Bungo. In the same year, he began playing the yagura drums in the play "Sekitori Senryo Nobori," and until the mid-19th century, he was known as Oni Kanji for his strong playing skills. 義太夫節の三味線演奏者。(1)初世 (18世紀中ごろ‐1809(文化6)ころ) 初世鶴沢友治郎門人。1760年(宝暦10)鶴沢亀次郎から寛治と改名,のち寛翁。通称土橋。66年(明和3)から一時竹本座に出勤したが,主として豊竹系の座で活躍,2世豊竹島太夫らを弾いた。(2)4世 生没年不詳。3世の門人。富造,2世文吾から,1826年(文政9)4世を襲名。同年《関取千両幟(せきとりせんりようのぼり)》で櫓太鼓の曲弾きをはじめ,19世紀半ばまで,鬼寛治と呼ばれたほどの強腕で鳴らし,54年(安政1)《壇浦兜軍記》の琴責めの曲弾きでも喝采をうけた。
