Japanese: 閩 - びん

① A branch of the Yue people who lived in the Fujian region of ancient China ② One of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms periods 909-945
After the fall of the Qin Dynasty, Emperor Gaozu of Han (Liu Bang) established the Min Yue Kingdom (202 BC - 135 BC) with Wuzhu as its king, but it later became so powerful that it was destroyed by Emperor Wu.
After the fall of the Tang dynasty, Wang Shenzhi was appointed King of Min by the Later Liang dynasty, and in 933 Wang Yanjun became emperor, but was later destroyed by the Southern Tang dynasty.

秦の滅亡後，漢の高祖（劉邦）により無諸を王とする閩越国（前202〜前135）が建てられたが，のちに強盛となったため武帝に滅ぼされた。
福建を領した。唐滅亡後，王審知 (おうしんち) が後梁から閩王に封じられたのに始まり，933年王延鈞 (おうえんきん) のとき帝位についたが，のち南唐に滅ぼされた。
