Written by Yokan of the Todaiji Sanron sect. It is said to have been completed in 1103 (Kōwa 5). It explains in ten points how, as there are ten causes for the practice of nembutsu, if one chants the name of Amida Buddha with one's whole heart, one will surely attain rebirth in the Pure Land. In comparison with exoteric and esoteric sects, it teaches that nembutsu does not interfere with one's walking, standing, sitting or lying down, that paradise is for all, whether religious or secular, and that all living beings are equally saved from their sins. It was called the "Nenbutsu sect." It is said that this book had a great influence among nembutsu practitioners, and there was a competition to copy it.
