Japanese: チェルスキー[山脈]（英語表記）Khrebet Cherskogo

A mountain range in northern Eastern Siberia, Russia, stretching from the lower reaches of the Yana River to the upper reaches of the Kolyma River. It stretches from northwest to southeast, is about 1,500 km long, and 400 km wide at its widest point. It belongs to the Sakha Republic and Magadan Oblast. Its highest point is Pobeda Peak (3,147 m) in the Ulakhan-Chistai Range in the central part of the country. It is made up of numerous parallel mid-altitude mountain ranges (2,000 to 2,500 m above sea level) with narrow basins and river valleys between them. From 300 to 1,500 m above sea level, larch trees grow, and above that there is sparse forest of dwarf pine, birch, and linden trees, followed by mountain tundra. The summits are covered with mountain glaciers with well-developed cirques and glacial tongues.

ロシア連邦，東シベリア北部の山脈で，ヤナ川下流からコリマ川上流部につらなる。北西から南東にのび，長さ約1500km，最大幅400km。サハ共和国とマガダン州に属する。最高点は中央部のウラハン･チスタイ山脈のポベダ峰(3147m)。多数の並行する中山性の山脈(標高2000～2500m)よりなり，間に狭長な盆地や河谷を挟む。標高300～1500mまでカラマツ，それ以上は松，カンバ，シナノキなどの矮（わい）性の疎林，さらに山地ツンドラとなり，山頂付近は圏谷や氷舌の発達した山岳氷河がおおう。
