Bile duct - Tankan (English spelling) bile duct

Japanese: 胆管 - たんかん（英語表記）bile duct

Part of the bile infusion duct system. The bile canaliculi that form a network within the hepatic lobule become interlobular bile ducts when they leave the hepatic lobule, and then merge into two hepatic ducts that exit the liver through the porta hepatis. These become a single common hepatic duct, which then merges with the cystic duct leading to the gallbladder to become the common bile duct, which opens into the duodenal papilla.

胆汁の輸液管組織の一部。肝小葉の中で網状となっている毛細胆管は，肝小葉を出ると小葉間胆管となり，2本の肝管にまとまって肝門から肝臓の外に出る。これが1本の総肝管となり，さらに胆嚢に続く胆嚢管と合流して総胆管となって，十二指腸乳頭に開いている。
