Carrier attack aircraft

…Military aircraft whose main purpose is to attack ground targets (ships, tanks, airfields, etc.) are broadly divided into two types: carrier-based attack aircraft for aircraft carriers and land-based attack aircraft for close ground support. In the U.S. military, these are collectively called attackers.
