Tamada Naganori

Tamada Naganori
1756-1836 A Shintoist from the mid to late Edo period.
Born in 1766. Son of a feudal lord in Awa Tokushima. After studying Suika Shinto, he became the master of Yoshida Shinto. He established the private school Hidehosha in Kyoto and also spread his teachings throughout Japan. He passed away on September 16, 1830. He was 81 years old. His real surname was Yokoyama. He was commonly known as Kazue. His works include "Shinkokurei" and "Shinto Lectures."

宝暦6年生まれ。阿波(あわ)徳島藩士の子。垂加神道をまなんだあと,吉田神道をおさめる。京都に家塾秀穂舎を設立,また諸国に布教した。天保(てんぽう)7年9月16日死去。81歳。本姓は横山。通称は主計。著作に「神国令」「神道講義」など。
