Ancient Tombs of Jia Gezhuang

...Tombs from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period excavated in Jia Gezhuang, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, China. The ancient tombs at Jia Gezhuang are divided into the eastern and western areas, and chronologically include tombs from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period as well as tombs from the Han Period. An Zhimin and others from the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted the excavation in 1952. There are six jar burials in the eastern area, and three ornaments for infants were found in jar coffin No. 38, which is thought to have been used exclusively for the burial of infants. 22 tombs from the late Spring and Autumn Period and the early Warring States Period have been reported in the western area. ...

…中国，河北省唐山市賈各荘で調査された春秋戦国時代の墓。賈各荘の古墓群は東区と西区に分かれて存在し，年代的には春秋戦国時代の墓のみならず，漢時代の墓も含んでいる。1952年に中国科学院考古学研究所の安志敏らが調査を行っている。東区には6基の甕棺葬が存在し，38号甕棺からは，3点の幼児用の装飾品が発見され，これらの甕棺が幼児の埋葬をもっぱらとするものであったと考えられている。西区からは22基の春秋後期･戦国初頭の墓が報告されている。…
