Takashihara

This alluvial plateau is located in the southern part of Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, at an elevation of 20 to 30 meters. It is a terrace on the left bank of the Toyokawa River, and across the Umeda River at its southern end is Tenpakubara. Before World War II, it was an army training ground, and was opened to the public after the war. The former site of the 15th Division Headquarters became Aichi University, and the surrounding area was transformed into a newly developed residential area. In the Wamyoruijusho, Takashi Village, Takaashinosho, Atsumi County, the utamakura "Takashiyama" refers to the plateau and flat mountain area that continues to Shiomizaka. Takashihama is an inlet at the mouth of the Umeda River.

愛知県豊橋市(とよはしし)南部にある洪積台地で、標高20～30メートル。豊川(とよがわ)の左岸段丘、南端の梅田川を挟んで対岸は天伯原(てんぱくばら)である。第二次世界大戦前は陸軍演習場で、戦後開放された。かつての第15師団司令部跡は愛知大学となり、周辺は新興住宅地に変わった。『倭名類聚抄(わみょうるいじゅしょう)』の渥美(あつみ)郡高蘆(たかし)郷、高足庄(たかしのしょう)で、歌枕(うたまくら)の「高師山」は潮見坂に続く一帯の台地、平山をさしたもの。高師浜は梅田川河口の入り江である。
