A village in the eastern part of New York State, USA. It is located 97 km west of Albany, on the shores of Lake Otchego. It is said that modern baseball began here in 1839, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame is located here. It is a tourist destination in the summer. Population 2,180 (1990).
