Year of death: 5th year of Kowa period, December 20th (1104.1.19)
Year of birth: Kohei 2 (1059)
An aristocrat of the late Heian period. Son of Omi no Kami Takashina Tameie and the daughter of Fujiwara no Yoshitada. A typical example of the In no Kami Jyuku who formed the basis of the Shirakawa Insei. In 1079, he became Emperor Shirakawa's treasurer, and was appointed Echigo no Kami due to Shirakawa's favor and his contribution to the construction of the Inno Goganji temple. After that, he served as the governor of large provinces such as Tajima, Kaga, and Tamba. The retired Emperor Shirakawa often visited his residence at Nijo Manri-koji. When he was appointed Tanba no Kami, he confiscated the Oyamasho estate of Toji Temple, and maintained an oppressive stance towards the manors in his province. <References> Yoshihiko Hashimoto, "Research on Aristocratic Society in the Heian Period," Fusao Kono, "Research on Political History in the Late Heian Period"
