Japanese: 当麻曼荼羅縁起 - たいままんだらえんぎ
Taima Mandala Origin
A picture scroll. Two volumes. Colored paper. Made in the Kamakura period. It is said to be a painting by Sumiyoshi Keion, but there is no basis for this. It depicts the legend of how the Taima Mandala of Taima Temple was created, with precise depiction and gorgeous colors. Owned by Komyo-ji Temple in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. A national treasure.
