[1][一] 「だいはんにゃきょう（大般若経）」の略。※霊異記（810‐824）下「大般若を写さむとし、願を建てて、現に善悪の報を得る縁」[二] 能楽の曲名。唐の三蔵法師が大般若経を伝えようと、天竺に向かう途中流沙川に至ると、川に住む真蛇大王の化身が現われて、汝(なんじ)は前生から渡天を志して幾度となく自分に妨げられたが、今回はその殊勝な心により渡してやると言って、般若の初軸を与え法師を彼岸に渡す。これを短くしたものに「三蔵法師」がある。廃曲。[三] 狂言。和泉・鷺流。施主の所で大般若経を読み始めた僧は神子(みこ)の神楽(かぐら)の鈴の音をじゃまにするが、しだいに神楽の調子にひきこまれる。[2] 〘名〙① 「だいはんにゃきょうえ（大般若経会）」の略。※明月記‐治承四年（1180）七月二三日「今日一日大般若、〈卅人僧〉」② 植物「きく（菊）」の異名。《季・秋》〔日葡辞書（1603‐04）〕
