A collection of Edo Shogunate laws. It compiles and classifies legal precedents and laws related to court cases and administration handled by the Edo magistrate's office from 1716 (Kyoho 1) to 1736 (Genbun 1), including detailed articles on the legislative process such as petitions and instructions between senior councilors, decisions by the Hyojosho, and precedents that were investigated. It has 7 volumes. It is believed that the northern and southern magistrate's offices compiled the documents and exchanged information to incorporate it into their articles, but the extant collection is only that of the southern magistrate's office, which originally had magistrate Ooka Tadasuke compile the documents up to 1725 by group yoriki Uesaka Masakata, and then added additional edits up to 1736.
