Yokohama [town] - Yokohama
A town in the center of the Shimokita Peninsula, Kamikita District, Aomori Prefecture. Facing Mutsu Bay to the west, the Ominato Line runs through the town. The town is often subject to cold damage caused by Yamase (an easterly wind). In addition to scallop farming and other fishing, the town also produces rice and potatoes. A flower festival is held in May. Area: 126.38 km2 . Population: 4,881 (2010).
