A resort city facing Tampa Bay in the west of Florida, USA. Population 239,000 (1994). It is also called the Sunshine City because it has about 360 sunny days a year. The warm climate has attracted retirees from the northern and midwestern United States, resulting in a large elderly population. There are also manufacturing industries such as boats, trailer homes, air conditioners, electrical parts, and cement, as well as citrus and seafood processing.
