Anshin-in [town] - Ajimu

Japanese: 安心院[町] - あじむ

An old town in Usa County, northern Oita Prefecture. The town is centered around the Anshin'in Basin in the Tsubusa River basin, upstream of the Yakkan River. Remains of the jori system can be seen, and rice and wheat have been grown here since ancient times. The town produces a lot of grapes and also raises silkworms. The town also produces beef cattle, vegetables, and shiitake mushrooms. The town's name was anciently called Ashibu, and is said to come from the fact that it was home to a storehouse during the Ritsuryo period. In March 2005, it was incorporated into Innai Town, Usa County, and Usa City. ^{147.17 km2} . 8,552 people (2003).

大分県北部，宇佐郡の旧町。駅館(やっかん)川上流の津房(つぶさ)川流域の安心院盆地が中心で，条里制遺構も見られ，古くから米麦作が行われてきた。ブドウを多産し，養蚕も行う。肉牛，野菜，シイタケの産もある。町名は古く葦生(あしぶ)と称し，律令時代院倉があったことに由来するという。2005年３月宇佐郡院内町と宇佐市へ編入。147.17km²。8552人（2003）。
