Japanese: 安心法門 - あんじんほうもん

This is a commentary on the Anshin-homon section of the Shaoshitsu Rokumonshu by the Rinzai monk Takuan Soho in the early Edo period. The Rokumonshu has been passed down since ancient times as a writing by Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism, and consists of six sections: Heart Sutra Verse, Hasoron, Nishu-nyu, Anshin-homon, Enlightenment-ron, and Kechi-ron. Takuan took up the Anshin-homon section of these six sections and used it as material to discuss his own theory on Buddhism. The issue he addressed was the nature of the mind. All things are created by the mind, and all things are empty, so if you remove things from the mind, you will become mindless.

江戸初期の臨済僧沢庵宗彭が《少室六門集》のうちの安心法門に加えた注釈書。《六門集》は，古来，禅宗の祖菩提達磨の著書として伝えられ，心経頌，破相論，二種入，安心法門，悟性論，血脈論の六門からなる。沢庵はこのうちの安心法門を取りあげ，それを素材にして，自己の仏教論を語ったといえる。その課題は〈心〉のあり方の問題である。万物は〈心〉によって作り出されたもので，万物は〈空〉であるから，〈心〉から物を取り去れば無心になる。
