〘Noun〙① A school of Japanese mathematics. It follows the tradition of Seki Takakazu. *Essays, One Story, One Word (c. 1779-1820), vol. 13 "The Tomb of Seki Shinsuke, the Founder of the Renowned Seki School of Arithmetic"② A school of artillery. It was started in the early Edo period by Seki Yazaemon Fumiyoshi, a pupil of Maruta Kuzaemon Moritsugu, the founder of Kasumi school artillery. The Seki family of the Tsuchiura domain passed on the style. ③ A school of Heike biwa. Its founder was Yasaka Kengyo Jogen (Jomoto). The Seki school.
