Inconel - Inconel (English spelling)

A general term for nickel-chromium-based super heat-resistant materials. In addition to 15-22% chromium and 46-76% nickel, it is a compound of cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten, niobium, titanium, aluminum, iron, etc., and is used in parts that are used at high temperatures of over 800°C, such as gas turbines. Inco (now Vale Inco), which produced nickel and nickel alloys, registered this name as a trademark for the alloy.

ニッケル・クロム基超耐熱材料の総称。クロム15～22％、ニッケル46～76％のほかに、コバルト、モリブデン、タングステン、ニオブ、チタン、アルミニウム、鉄などを配合したもので、ガスタービンなど800℃以上の高温で使用される部分に使われる。ニッケルおよびニッケル合金の生産をしていたインコ社（現、ヴァーレ・インコ社）が、前記の合金の商標としてこの名称を登録した。
