Sueyoshi [town] - Sueyoshi
A former town in Soo District, eastern Kagoshima Prefecture. In the field farming region, sweet potatoes are cultivated, livestock is raised, and tea and tobacco are also produced. There is also a meat processing plant, making it the center of beef cattle production in the eastern part of the prefecture. There is also a sewing factory. In July 2005, it merged with Osumi Town and Takarabe Town in Soo District to become a city, Soo City. 129.09 km2 . Population 20,643 (2003).
