〘Noun〙 (also "tokushi", "tokuji", "touji" or "dokuji")① Buddhist term. In the ancient and middle ages, a priest was placed at each provincial temple in each province along with a lecturer. One rank lower than a lecturer. Term of office was six years. [Sandaikyaku-3, December 25, 805]② Buddhist term.
