[Born] 1526, Settsu [Died] March 5, 1607. A wealthy merchant from Hirano Manor in Settsu Province during the Yamashiro-Azuchi-Momoyama period. His name was Toshikata. He first served the Oda clan, then the Toyotomi clan, but from 1599 he served Tokugawa Ieyasu and served as a senior official in Hirano. In 1599, with the establishment of the Fushimi Ginza ginza, he became the head of the ginza and participated in the minting of gold and silver coins.
