Japanese: 枢密使 - すうみつし(英語表記)Shū mì shì
Privy Councilor - Shū mi shì
Chinese government system. In the Tang Dynasty, the Imperial Court appointed Secretaries to participate in military-related conspiracies and wield power behind closed doors. In the Five Dynasties period, the Privy Council was established as an official institution to handle all military matters and was called the "two offices" in addition to the Central Secretariat, which controlled all administrative affairs. From the Five Dynasties onwards, ordinary bureaucrats were appointed to the Privy Council, but in the Song Dynasty, civil servants were appointed, with the Chief Privy Councilor and the Vice Privy Deputy Envoy, but when the Chief Privy Councilor was called the Chief Privy Councilor, the Vice Privy Councilor was called the Second Privy Councilor, and below him was called the Second Privy Councilor.
