Sui and Tang Art (English)
After the fall of the Han dynasty, which was the culmination of ancient society, northern China came under the control of northern nomadic tribes, and the Han people developed a culture based on the economy in the grain-producing areas of Jiangnan. The Northern Dynasty, which advocated its political culture through deep ties with the nomadic tribes, integrated the Southern Dynasty, and it was during the Sui dynasty that northern China and Jiangnan began to operate under a single political system again, as had been the case since the Han dynasty. After 38 years of the Sui dynasty, the Tang dynasty, a group of warlords and aristocrats, took over from this, consolidating the politics of the north and the economy of the south in Chang'an and Luoyang, and while dealing with the nomadic tribes of the north and west, they also exerted their influence in foreign regions west of Turfan and east of the Pamirs, securing the Western Regions while absorbing their advanced culture.
