Water supply rope (English: Shuǐ dào tí gāng)

Japanese: 水道提綱 - すいどうていこう（英語表記）Shuǐ dào tí gāng

A comprehensive river journal created during the Qianlong era in the Qing dynasty of China. Written by Qi Zhaonan (1703-68). 28 volumes. Based on the map of all of China, the Imperial Comprehensive Map, which was surveyed and drawn by Western missionaries at the request of Emperor Kangxi, it describes the course of the rivers as seen in the map. It covers not only inland China but also the surrounding areas, and is counted as one of the masterpieces of Chinese river journals due to the accuracy and detail of the articles. [Hibino Tsuyoshi]
