A hot spring in Higashikawa Town, Kamikawa Subprefecture, Hokkaido. It is also written as Yukomanbetsu. Sekko spring, 47-51°C. It springs from a plateau at an altitude of 1000m, halfway up Asahidake, the main peak of Daisetsuzan Mountains, and is also called Asahidake Onsen. Discovered by Akutsu Keikichi in 1914, it became the base for climbing Asahidake in the Showa era, and in 1968 a ropeway was opened to the summit. There is a large ski resort and it is close to Tenjinkyo Gorge. There is a bus service from Asahikawa Station on the Hakodate Main Line. 北海道上川支庁東川町にある温泉。湧駒別とも書く。セッコウ泉,47~51℃。大雪山の主峰旭岳の中腹,標高1000mの高原にわき,旭岳温泉ともいう。1914年阿久津啓吉が発見,昭和に入って旭岳の登山基地となり,68年には頂上までロープウェーが通じた。広大なスキー場があり,天人峡にも近い。函館本線旭川駅からバスが通じる。【榊原 貴士】
