Bilateral symmetry. The color, shape, and quality of an object or aesthetic object are arranged in the same way on the left and right or top and bottom around a central axis, creating a balanced, symmetrical relationship between the two. Conversely, when this relationship is broken or destroyed, it is called asymmetry. In the field of art, this relationship is clearly expressed in architecture, where most religious buildings and other buildings that require dignity and stability, regardless of style, maintain symmetry. Conversely, architecture that seeks playfulness and ease, or that is practical, often has asymmetry.
