Andronovo culture

Andronovo culture
A Bronze Age culture that occupies a period in the Altaic culture. It was recognized by S. Teploukhov and its distribution range extends to the Altai Mountains in southern Siberia, Kazakhstan, and the Minusinsk region. It was named after the village of Andronovo near Achinsk. The tombs are low circular mounds, sometimes with stone enclosures and grave pits made of stone slabs or wood. The bones are buried in a flexed position with their heads facing southwest, and in some cases the bones are cremated. This culture was a patrilineal society that practiced livestock farming and primitive agriculture. It was in contact with the Srubnaya culture in the west and the Bronze Age cultures of the Ob and Irtysh rivers in the north. There is no consensus on the date, but the theory estimated by SV Kiselev that it was between 1750 and 1200 BC is believed to be the most widely accepted. In the Southern Zaurar region, the Fedorov, Alakly, and Zamarayev periods were classified by KB Salnikov, but this is not certain. In other words, the Fedorov period remains in the Minusinsk region are unclear. At the end of 2000 BC, the Karasuk culture was established in the Yenisei River and the upper Ob River, and the Tazabagyab culture was established in Kazakhstan, the Southern Priurars, and the Zaurar region.
