Food policy

Japanese:
Food policy
It is a general term for policies related to food supply and demand, distribution, prices, and trade. However, in Japan, food policy is usually limited to policies related to staple foods, especially rice and wheat, with policies related to livestock products, fruits and vegetables, seafood, etc. being treated separately. This is because historically, Japan's food policy has been based exclusively on rice and wheat (especially rice), and this still accounts for a large proportion of the policy today. The purpose of food policy is to ensure a stable supply of the food needed by the people. To achieve this, measures are needed to enable producers to produce steadily, and stable imports must be ensured.
