Five-toed jerboa

A general term for animals in the Allactaga genus of the Jerboa family of the Rodentia order of the Mammalia class. There are 11 species of mice in this genus, Allactaga , that live in the arid regions of Eurasia. Their head and body lengths are 9-15 cm, and their tails are 16-22 cm long. They are nocturnal, and use their tails and hind legs, which are 6-7.5 cm long, to jump and run on the ground. They are known to hibernate.

哺乳(ほにゅう)綱齧歯(げっし)目トビネズミ科イツユビトビネズミ属に含まれる動物の総称。この属Allactagaのネズミは11種で、ユーラシアの乾燥地帯にすむ。頭胴長9~15センチメートル、尾長16~22センチメートル。夜行性で、尾と6~7.5センチメートルの後ろ足を使い、地上を跳躍し走り回る。冬眠することが知られている。
