Japanese: 正信偈 - しょうしんげ
Shoshinge
This refers to the Shoshinbutsu-ge, included at the end of the Gyo-kan of Shinran's Kyogyoshinsho. It is a verse of 120 lines of seven words. It is a hymn praising the correct faith in the Nembutsu of Amida Buddha and the Seven Great Priests (Nagarjuna, Vasshin, Donran, Doshaku, Zendo, Genshin, and Genku), and emphasizes that faith in the original vow of Amida Buddha and that Nembutsu is the true cause of rebirth in the Pure Land. In Shinshu, it is widely recited during morning and evening religious practices by both lay and monks.

親鸞の《教行信証》行巻末に収める《正信念仏偈》のこと。7言120句の詩形式の偈文。阿弥陀仏念仏を正信することおよび七高僧(竜樹・世親・曇鸞・道綽・善導・源信・源空)をたたえた賛歌で,阿弥陀仏の本願への信心と,念仏こそが往生の正因であることを強調。真宗では在家・出家を問わず朝夕の勤行などに広く誦せられる。
