...The beautiful young boy performs various arts such as short songs, kusemai (musical dance), and katsuko (a drum), "Kagetsu", a samurai demon-slaying performance, "Tsuchigumo", a performance centered on the dance of the heavenly beings, Feather robe It refers to Noh plays such as "Senbetsu no Hakusho" (The Tale of Genji), which focuses on visual entertainment and flashy movements on stage rather than depicting human psychology or conflict, and in a broader sense also includes waki-noh (plays in which divine spirits bestow blessings). Among them, Kanze Nobumitsu's "Tamanoi", "Ryōko", and "Atago Kuya", Konparu Zenpō's "Arashiyama" and "Ikaku Sennin", and Kanze Chōtoshi's "Enoshima" and "Rinzō" feature gorgeously costumed gods, Buddhas, heavenly immortals, and dragon gods who move around the stage one after another, making use of large-scale props, and the interludes (intervals) are lively and ingenious, such as the "Kaizukushi" in "Tamanoi", the "Sarugaku" in "Arashiyama", and the "Dragon Boy" in "Enoshima" (however, these interludes are only performed on special occasions today), and the whole is unified as a spectacle pageant show. In Japan, spectacles and shows have traditionally been called "fūryū", so this type of Noh was named fūryū Noh.
