Social life statistics indicators

In recent years, the economy and the environment surrounding it have changed dramatically, and people's values have changed from economic growth to welfare, and people's lives have changed from quantitative expansion to qualitative improvement, and have become more diverse. As a result, the demand for social statistics has increased in addition to the traditional economic statistics, and it has become necessary to systematically expand and organize a wide range of regional information. The need for the organization of social statistics has spread rapidly in countries around the world, and since the end of the 1960s, the United Nations has been discussing the systematization of social and demographic statistics with the aim of linking them to the New SNA (the System of National Accounts revised in 1968).

近年経済面やこれを取り巻く環境の変化は著しく，国民の価値観も経済成長から福祉へ，国民生活も量的拡大から質的充実へと変化し，多様化してきた。これに伴い従来の経済統計に加えて社会統計に対する需要も高まり，広範な地域別情報の体系的拡充と整備が必要となってきた。この社会統計整備の必要性は世界各国でも急速に広まり，1960年代終りころから国連では新SNA(1968年に改訂された国民経済計算の方式)との連結を目ざして社会･人口統計の体系化について論議が行われている。
