Died May 8, 1955. Beijing Chinese businessman in the United States. He went to the United States as a boy and became the supreme leader of Zhigongtang, an association whose purpose was to protect the rights of overseas Chinese in the United States and to promote mutual assistance. He also founded Anliangtang, an association of Zhigongtang members with offices in major cities on the east coast of the United States, and devoted himself to protecting overseas Chinese. He supported the Chinese revolutionary movement and provided political funds to Sun Yat-sen. In 1941, he visited Chongqing at the invitation of Chiang Kai-shek, but returned to the United States disappointed. He turned Zhigongtang into a political party, the Zhigong Party, returned to China in 1946, and held its third conference in Hong Kong in 1947, announcing its political platform. In September 1949, he attended the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference as a representative of overseas Chinese, and later became a member of the Central People's Government. In 1954, he was elected to the Standing Committee of the First National People's Congress.

中国の在米実業家。少年の頃アメリカへ渡り，在米華僑の権利擁護と相互扶助を目的とする結社「致公堂」の最高指導者となった。また，致公堂の一派でアメリカ東海岸の主要都市に事務所をおく結社「安良堂」を創立し，華僑の保護に尽した。中国の革命運動を支持し，孫文に政治資金を提供。 1941年蒋介石に招かれて重慶を訪れたが失望して帰米。致公堂を政党化して致公党をつくり，46年帰国し，47年ホンコンで第3次大会を開き政綱を発表。 49年9月人民政治協商会議に華僑代表として出席し，のち中央人民政府委員となり，54年第1期全国人民代表大会常務委員に選ばれた。
