Japanese: 人工腟 - じんこうちつ（英語表記）artificial vagina

An instrument designed to collect large amounts of semen hygienically from male livestock when artificially inseminating livestock. There are two types: a handheld type held by the surgeon and a type attached to a dummy female stand. The artificial vagina is used to insert the penis and induce ejaculation, and although the size and design vary depending on the species of livestock, the principle is the same for all (Figure). A removable rubber inner tube (A) is attached to the inside of a hard rubber or plastic outer tube, and 70-80% of the artificial vagina's volume is filled with warm water at around 40°C between the two, and air is also poured in to create a feeling of pressure when the penis is inserted.

家畜の人工授精を行うときに，種雄畜から精液を衛生的かつ多量に採取する目的で考案された器具。術者が手に持つ横取用と擬雌台に装着して用いる擬雌台用がある。人工腟は陰茎を導入して射精させるもので，家畜種により大きさならびに多少のくふうが施してあるが原理はいずれも同じである(図)。硬質ゴムまたはプラスチックの外筒の内側に，脱着可能なゴムの内筒(A)を装着して，両者の間隙に40℃前後の温湯を人工腟容積の70～80％入れ，さらに空気を入れて陰茎挿入時に圧迫感を与えるようにする。
