Poet Tamakusetsu - Shijingyokusetsu

A book on poetry compiled by Wei Qingzhi at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty in China. It consists of 21 volumes. It contains a wide range of books and categorizes them into categories, including theories on poetic principles, rhetoric, and theories on poetry and poets from the Book of Songs to the Song Dynasty, as well as commentary and anecdotes on the poems and poets of each era. The source of each article is noted, and most of the works were written by people from the Southern Song Dynasty. Along with Hu Zai's Chuxi Gyoyin Conghua, which was written around the same time, it has been read as a representative book on poetry and stories from the Song Dynasty. The Ming edition published in China has twenty volumes missing, but the 21-volume edition published in Japan conveys the contents of the original Song edition. Versions published during the Kan'ei era (1624-1644) were in widespread circulation, and a typeset version based on it was published in China in 1957.

中国、南宋(なんそう)末の魏慶之(ぎけいし)が編纂(へんさん)した詩学書。21巻。詩の格律、修辞など作詩の理論、および『詩経』から宋(そう)に至る歴代の詩あるいは詩人についての論評、逸話などを、広く諸書から集めて項目別に分類する。掲載の各条は出典が注記されており、大部分は南宋人の著述である。ほぼ同時期の胡仔(こし)の『苕渓漁隠叢話(ちょうけいぎょいんそうわ)』とともに、宋代詩話の代表的な書物として読まれてきた。中国に伝わる明(みん)刊本は二十巻本で欠落があるが、日本で刊行された二十一巻本がもとの宋本の内容を伝えている。寛永(かんえい)年間（1624～44）の刊本が一般に通行し、1957年には中国でそれに基づく活字本が出版された。
