The Thirty-Nine Articles of Faith

The Articles of Faith of the Church of England. These clarify the doctrinal position of the Church of England against Catholics and Protestants. Based on the Forty-Two Articles of Faith of 1553, they were drafted by Archbishop M. Parker, who was the Archbishop of Canterbury, and approved by Parliament in 1571 during the reign of Elizabeth I, establishing the doctrine of the Church of England. 英国国教会の信仰個条。旧教や新教諸派に対して英国国教会の教義上の立場を明らかにしたもの。1553年の《四十二ヵ条の信仰告白》を基礎に，カンタベリー大主教M.パーカーが起草，エリザベス１世治世の1571年の議会で承認され，国教会体制の教義を確立させた。
