?-994 A medieval Iranian physician. His Latin name was Haly Abbas. He was born in Ahvaz and worked in Dayram, a city in Gilan. He followed in the footsteps of Razi and wrote the Book of Kings, a medical encyclopedia comparable to Razi's Book of Inclusions. The book, which consists of 20 volumes and about 400,000 words, was translated into Latin by Constantine Africanus (c. 1020-c. 87) and introduced to the Western world as Liber regius.
