Lamprotornis

...This genus is classified into about 24 species, and is widely distributed from Southeast Asia to Polynesia. The African genus Lamprotornis (16 species), the genus Onycognathus (10 species), and the genus Spero (6 species) also have metallic green or purple-blue feathers. The most specialized starlings are the two species of oxpeckers found in Africa, which have flattened bills, well-developed claws on the toes, and stiff tail feathers like those of woodpeckers.
