A book that records the duties of kabuki writers. Written by Misuya Nisoji. Published in 1848 (Kaei 1). Five volumes. Based on the author's experience and knowledge, the book details the duties, systems, customs, and knowledge of Edo kabuki writers established in the mid-Edo period, tracing the dates from New Year. From the second half of the fourth volume onwards, it includes brief biographies of writers from ancient times to the present, anecdotes of writers and actors, and words and deeds. It appears to be a work intended to convey the methods of traditional Edo kabuki writers to writers of the same era or later. There are many articles not found in other books, making it a valuable work for research on writers.

歌舞伎作者の職掌などを記した書。三升屋二三治（みますやにそうじ）著。1848年(嘉永1)成立。5巻。江戸中期に確立された江戸歌舞伎作者の職掌，制度，慣習，心得などを，著者の経験や見聞のままに正月から月日を追いながら詳細に記している。四之巻後半以後には古今の作者の略伝，作者･役者の逸話，言行が加えられている。古来の江戸歌舞伎作者の式法を同時代または以後の作者に伝えるという意図を持った著作と見られる。他書に見られぬ記事も多く，作者研究上貴重である。
