Japanese: 褌脱 - こだつ

The name of a gagaku or instrumental piece. There are four pieces of gagaku music with the name "fundatsu" remaining: "Kenki Fundatsu," "Rinko Fundatsu," "Cao Niang Fundatsu," and "Horin Fundatsu," but only the first two are currently performed. "Fundatsu" is said to be the name of a dance or a type of Sangaku. Both pieces are said to have been introduced from the continent, and originally featured dances, but today the dances have disappeared and the pieces are only performed as instrumental pieces. "Kenki Fundatsu" is also written as "Kenki Fundatsu," and was apparently an accompaniment to a game in which swords were played.

雅楽，管絃の曲名。褌脱という名のつく雅楽曲には，《剣気褌脱》《輪鼓褌脱》《曹娘（そうろう）褌脱》《補臨褌脱》の4曲の名が残されているが，現在演奏されるのは初めの2曲。褌脱というのは，舞振りの名称とも散楽の一つとも伝えられる。いずれも大陸から伝来した曲とされ，もともとは舞があったらしいが，現在は舞は絶え，管絃曲としてのみ演奏する。《剣気褌脱》は剣器褌脱とも書かれ，剣器をもてあそぶ遊戯の伴奏曲であったらしい。
