Shoin Shrine

[1] A shrine in Wakabayashi, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. Former prefectural shrine. The deity worshipped is Yoshida Shoin. In Bunkyu 3 ( 1863 ), a disciple of Shoin reburied him at Kozukahara Ekoin Temple, and the shrine was founded in Meiji 15 ( 1882 ). Shoin's grave is located there. [2] A shrine in Tsubakihigashi, Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Former prefectural shrine. The deity worshipped is Yoshida Shoin. Founded in Meiji 40 ( 1907 ). The shrine site is Shoin's birthplace, and is within the grounds of the Shoka Sonjuku school. [3] A shrine in Takatsuhara, Kashima City, Saga Prefecture. Former prefectural shrine. The deity worshipped is the successive lords of Kashima Domain after Nabeshima Tadashige. Founded in Kanei 10 ( 1633 ). A famous cherry blossom spot. Matsukage Shrine. Tadashige Daimyojin.

[一] 東京都世田谷区若林にある神社。旧府社。祭神は吉田松陰。文久三年（一八六三）松陰の門下生が小塚原回向院から改葬、明治一五年（一八八二）創建。松陰の墓がある。[二] 山口県萩市椿東にある神社。旧県社。祭神は吉田松陰。明治四〇年（一九〇七）創建。社地は松陰の生誕地で、松下村塾の域内にある。[三] 佐賀県鹿島市高津原にある神社。旧県社。祭神は鍋島忠茂以後歴代の鹿島藩主。寛永一〇年（一六三三）の創建。桜の名所。まつかげじんじゃ。忠茂大明神。
