...Including Kumiodori and Hashiodori, court dances are collectively called Kansen-odori (sometimes called O-kanmuri), which comes from the fact that the ship carrying the investiture envoys who came to Ryukyu bearing the crown of the new king was called Kansen. Sanshin songs from before the early modern period are called "Mukashi-bushi" or "O-mukashi-bushi," and the former include "Kyōsaku-bushi," "Shuri-bushi," and "Shoton-bushi," while the latter include "Chaya-bushi," "Naka-bushi," and "Jūnana-hachi-bushi." All of these are Ryuka songs accompanied by the sanshin, but in the early modern period, "Nakafu," which combines mainland waka poetry with Ryuka, and songs that feature kotoba accompaniment were also created....
