Japanese: 小袖曾我 - こそでそが

The title of a Noh piece. The fourth piece. A contemporary piece. Author unknown. Also known as a work by Miyamasu. The shite is Soga Juro. Soga Juro and Goro (Tsure) are brothers who are looking for an opportunity to avenge their father Kawazu Saburo, who was killed by Kudo Suketsune. They see the hunting party at the foot of Mount Fuji as a good opportunity, and before leaving, they visit their mother (Tsure) in the village of Soga. Goro's mother is angry that Goro has left the temple, even though she intended for him to become a monk, so she not only refuses to meet him, but also disowns him again. However, Juro takes Goro to see his mother and persuades her, so she forgives the disownment (Kuse).

能の曲名。四番目物。現在物。作者不明。宮増（みやます）作ともいう。シテは曾我十郎。曾我十郎･五郎(ツレ)の兄弟は，工藤祐経（くどうすけつね）に討たれた実父河津三郎の敵討の機会をねらっていたが，富士の裾野の巻狩りを好機とみて，出発に先立ち曾我の里の母(ツレ)を訪れる。母は，出家させるつもりの五郎が寺を出たことを怒っていたので，面会しないばかりか重ねて勘当を申し渡す。しかし十郎が母の前に五郎を連れて出て説得をするので，勘当を許す(〈クセ〉)。
