Japanese: コウライウグイス(高麗鶯) - コウライウグイス(英語表記)Old World oriole
Old World Oriole (Korean bush warbler)
Oriolidae is a general term for birds in the passerine order, family Oriolidae, or refers to one of these. This family consists of 28 species, 24 species in the genus Oriolus and 4 species in the genus Spheccotheres . It is a medium-sized forest bird, measuring 20-30cm in length. Many species have beautiful yellow feathers, and the English name oriole comes from the Latin aureolus (meaning yellow or golden). However, some species, such as the white-tailed gnat Oriolus traillii , have deep reddish-purple feathers instead of yellow.
