Le Hong Phong

An early leader of the Indochinese Communist Party. His real name was Le Huy Doan. His wife was Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, the elder sister of Vo Nguyen Giap's wife. He was born into a farming family in Pung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province. In 1924 he joined the anti-French organization Tam Tam Company (established in 1923), and later, at the instruction of Ho Chi Minh, he studied military theory and Marxism-Leninism at the Huangpu Military Academy in China and the Soviet pilot training school. In 1934, at the instruction of Comintern, the Indochinese Communist Party Steering Committee was established outside Vietnam, and he became its chairman, working to reunify the party organizations that had been divided within Vietnam.

インドシナ共産党の初期指導者。本名レ･フイ･ゾアン。妻はボー･グエン･ザップの妻の姉グエン･ティ･ミン･カイ。ゲアン省フングエン県の農家の生れ。1924年抗仏組織タムタム社(1923設立)に参加，その後ホー･チ･ミンの指示により中国の黄埔軍官学校，ソ連のパイロット養成学校などで軍事理論，マルクス=レーニン主義を学んだ。34年コミンテルンの指示に従ってベトナムの国外にインドシナ共産党指導委員会が設立されるとその委員長となり，ベトナム国内で分裂した党組織の再統一にあたった。
