Structural topography

Japanese:
Structural topography
Landforms, the undulations and shapes of the Earth's surface, are controlled by three factors: the "structure" of the rocks that make up the Earth's surface crust, the "actions" acting on them from inside and outside the Earth, and the "time" of the formation of the landforms. Noting that landforms are closely related to the properties of rocks and geological structures, landforms related to geological structures such as faults and folds and the movements that create such geological structures (tectonic movements) were generally called "structural landforms" until the mid-20th century. However, most of the structural landforms studied by European and American geomorphologists were eroded landforms that reflected differences in the resistance of rocks to erosion, especially geological structures that were formed in ancient geological times.
