Kaersutsenite (English spelling)

Kaersutsenite (English spelling)
Also called Kaersut amphibole. A type of calcium amphibole, its chemical composition is Ca2 (Na,K)(Mg,Fe2 + , Fe3 + ) 4TiAl2Si6O22 (OH) 2 . It has a similar chemical composition to basalt hornblende. Among calcium amphibole, it contains a characteristically large amount of Ti. Most of them usually contain 5-10% TiO2 by weight. Na and K, Mg, Fe2 + and Fe3 + are mixed in various ratios. When the Mg/(Mg+Fe2 + ) ratio is 0-0.49, it is called ferrokaersutite.
